About the Client Services Department

The primary role of Client Services is to create an environment where the best work possible can be developed and effectively executed into the marketplace. We inform and inspire our colleagues and clients for the creation of strategic expression that surpasses objectives while remaining within timelines and budgets. We are ultimately responsible for the work Addis Creson delivers, and the partnerships we create with our valued clients.

Overview

Client Service Managers consistently provide outstanding client service throughout projects while simultaneously managing relationships, budgets, timelines and deliverables. The Client Services Manager will be responsible for supporting the Vice President, Client Services in managing the day-to-day duties and long-term projects for a packaged goods food client. Successful candidates will have extensive project management experience, strong communication skills, the ability to plan and execute details, and manage multiple tasks on a daily basis. Successful candidates combine strong communication skills, the ability to plan details, multi-task and see the larger picture while exhibiting grace and diplomacy.

Responsibilities

Client Relations

  • Independently work on client engagements while serving as day to day client contact
  • Responsible for understanding client business and providing suggestions and solutions to grow the client relationship
  • Anticipate client needs, and provide guidance

Project Management

  • Oversee projects and guide the process from concept to implementation
  • Manage ongoing discussions with existing clients and make recommendations for additional work, create estimates for proposed projects
  • Develop and manage timelines, workflow, new project estimates and budgets
  • Prepare monthly client invoices and regular revenue forecast

Presentation Development

  • Under guidance from Sr. Client Services Manager, Director, or VP, develop and lead presentations to clients and colleagues
  • Partner closely with the creative team to facilitate the development, delivery, and accuracy of creative executions
  • Collaborate with the strategy department on strategy projects and strategic opportunities for clients

Internal Process

  • Actively participate in developing best practices for the client services team
  • Partner with Production department to oversee the implementation process

New Business

  • Participate in new business pursuits by supporting Senior Client Service Manager, Director, VP and others with the creation of and editing of proposals and RFI/RFP
  • Support others on the Client Service and New Business teams by researching clients and competitors
  • Support new business efforts by maintaining client contact with previous clients and looking for opportunities for new projects with existing clients

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Three to seven years of prior experience in similar position at a branding agency, advertising agency, or marketing communications position
  • Experience in strategic and creative development
  • Consumer (food) packaged goods experience strongly preferred
  • Solid experience with both the creative and production processes
  • Strong ability to write and present to internal and external audiences This is a temporary full-time position. Candidates who are selected will be required to work on-site at our studio in Berkeley, California

Design Intern

Creative Director

The Design Intern role is one of participating on a team, partnering and assisting Designers and Creative Directors, and supporting a range of design processes including Identity, packaging, digital and visual design. Interns will be responsible for a project or task level that supports the studio. Deliverables include design exploration, design research, color and typographic studies, image sourcing, compiling and the development of presentations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five semesters completed in a graphic design program
  • Must possess strong understanding of design terms
  • Collaborative nature
  • Must exhibit fluency in all relevant graphic design software including Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong ability to present and explain work and creative direction reasoning to Creative Directors and, possibly to clients

Designer (Freelance)

Role and Responsibility

At Addis Creson, Designers work closely with the Creative Directors to create strategic visual concepts that ensure the goals of the project are met. They are responsible for developing powerful and relevant design solutions that push the boundaries of excellence.

We are a collaborative studio with designers partnering closely with creative directors, writers, strategists, implementation, outside vendors and clients throughout the course of an account or project. Candidates must possess outstanding design skills (logo/identity creation, layout, Photoshop, etc.) and the desire to work on a wide range of projects in a creative and multi-disciplinary studio.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding and experience in developing brands
  • Exceptional agility and ability to work across a spectrum of areas (e.g., packaging, identity, print, UI design, and digital, etc.)
  • Ability to create exceptional designs, and presentations that translate business objectives into meaningful creative solutions

Director, Marketing Strategy

The Director, Marketing Strategy role is a diverse position with responsibilities ranging from creative, to strategic, to tactical. Our ideal candidate will focus on developing and implementing a variety of marketing-related strategies including social media, website development, mobile and go-to-market strategies. This individual will be a strategic and creative worker with a "roll-up your sleeves and get it done" attitude. Qualified candidates will be highly proficient in the digital marketing space as well as curious and proactive about learning, researching and implementing a multitude of strategic marketing solutions for a variety of clients.

Responsibilities

  • Understand client business (and relevant industries) and provide appropriate and timely strategic marketing counsel that capitalizes on social and digital solutions
  • Develop, implement and measure marketing plans that produce superior results for clients and result in increased agency revenues - approach should be able to consider integrating social media, content marketing, PR, advertising, and other communications channels relevant to reaching the identified target
  • Support the implementation of marketing strategies for consumer and B2B clients
  • Serve as the social media and online community coordinator for clients
  • Create and present "customer journey" marketing plans to clients that will include social, mobile, and digital touch-point solutions
  • Research, gather and analyze relevant information to support clients' strategic marketing and interactive campaigns
  • Set up and monitor social media and website analytics tools; generate analytics reports
  • Manage interactive-focused projects in partnership with a variety of internal team members, including designers, producers and client services
  • Develop interactive communication materials for clients, including researching, producing and/or editing content such as site maps, wireframes, content grids, personas, etc.
  • Research, implement and maintain both new and existing search engine optimization and search engine-marketing efforts for clients
  • Educate clients about strategic benefits of social media opportunities

Experience/Skills Required

  • BA/BS in Marketing or related field, graduate degree preferred
  • 8-10+ years of marketing strategy experience
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in social media, web, and digital strategy
  • Branding, Interactive, or marketing agency experience required
  • Intellectual curiosity; up-to-date knowledge of current events
  • Superior ability to create and deliver client and internal presentations
  • Passionate about staying on top of trends in social media and interactive technology

Production Manager

Overview

The Production Manager is primarily responsible for managing and facilitating the production process for a consumer packaged goods client while maintaining the highest level of quality. The Production Manager will work closely with clients, vendors and internal groups including Client Service, Design, and Production teams while prioritizing and managing multiple production projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven creative environment. Our ideal candidate will be a service-oriented individual with experience working with clients and vendors from the initial design through the production phase.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and manage production schedules
  • Develop and foster client and vendor relations
  • Manage internal/client/vendor approvals
  • Manage internal/client/vendor production-related meetings
  • Gather production specifications/details
  • Develop print specs and obtain and review print quotes
  • Development of department process and best practices
  • Attend press checks when necessary
  • Provide support to Production Director as needed

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Consumer Food Packaging experience is required
  • Previous agency experience highly preferred, with 2-4 years in similar position
  • Hands-on mechanical production experience preferred
  • Thorough understanding of both the creative and production process
  • Working knowledge of various printing techniques (offset litho, flexography, and rotogravure)
  • Working knowledge of all industry standard software applications (Illustrator CS5, InDesign CS5, Photoshop CS5, Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro)
  • Working knowledge of business application software (Microsoft Office)
  • Working knowledge of FDA regulations and standards for food package labeling
  • Excellent oral and written communicator
  • Detail oriented with highly developed organizational and time management skills
  • Strong initiative and follow-through skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and find solutions
